I was playing around with converting images to black and white, using the threshold filter in photoshop, and these pearmen came from photos of cut pears, that look kind of sad.

I thought about those signs , a bit ambiguous, that stores use when a sale is on, such as "giant rug sale", and I remember a photo, I think taken in New York many years ago, showing a family at home, parents and their giant son, who practically touched the ceiling of their apartment.

My wife suggested this, some of my strange punning and homonyming with the English language must have rubbed off.

He might be from New Zealand or South Africa, as I hear their accents, from my Aussi tongue perspective.

I have been painting away on this series of men and fish for a while, done on board with acrylic, 21 x 29 cm.
sometimes the fish is identifiable or it turns just smelly, after being out of the water for too long

A walking trip in Spain for a honeymoon? Twas pretty good, sharing with 5- 50 people in dormitories!!
