I was playing around with converting images to black and white, using the threshold filter in photoshop, and these pearmen came from photos of cut pears, that look kind of sad.

Whilst sitting in my freezing studio, impossible to heat as it is a partitioned off part of a large, high old building, I thought of something , somewhere warm.

giant

I thought about those signs , a bit ambiguous, that stores use when a sale is on, such as "giant rug sale", and I remember a photo, I think taken in New York many years ago, showing a family at home, parents and their giant son, who practically touched the ceiling of their apartment.
